1. Watch for your renewal notice

About 60 days before your deadline, you should receive your renewal notice by mail, email, or through your existing YourTexasBenefits.com account. Once you get it, renew online or return your completed forms by mail before the deadline given in the notice.

2. Gather the necessary documents

Before you renew, make sure you have the documents listed on your renewal notice. This may include proof of ID, income, where you live, or immigration status. You can find a full list at YourTexasBenefits.com.

3. Complete and submit your application before the deadline

You can also mail the application in your renewal notice.

Be sure Texas Ðǿմ«Ã½ and Human Services (HHSC) has your current mailing address, phone number and email address.
